RICHMOND - Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) will keynote the 2010 Jefferson-Jackson Dinner on Saturday, March 20 at the Richmond Convention Center, 403 N. Third St. in Richmond.
Klobuchar, who became the first elected female Senator from Minnesota in 2006, has been a strong ally of President Obama and is a leader in the Senate in the areas of consumer protection and law enforcement. The Washington Post described Klobuchar as "a rising star," while Politico calls her "bring-down-the-house funny."
"Amy Klobuchar is a great partner with me in the Senate on issues ranging from expanding broadband to supporting our small businesses," said Senator Mark R. Warner. "She also happens to be one of the funniest people in the Senate, and I can't wait to hear her message to Virginia Democrats."
In addition to Sen. Klobuchar, Virginia Democratic leaders will address supporters at the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner. A full schedule will be released shortly.
Tickets are available at www.vademocrats.org.
