TRENTON - Attorney General Anne Milgram and Criminal Justice Director Deborah Gramiccioni announced that an Ocean County man was sentenced today for manipulating an underage girl into posing for him nude on the Internet using a Web camera.

According to Director Gramiccioni, Christopher J. Frazee, 28, of Forked River, was sentenced to 364 days in the Ocean County Jail as a condition of probation by Superior Court Judge James Den Uyl in Ocean County. He will be subject upon release from jail to registration under Megan's Law and supervision by the state Parole Board under the law's community supervision for life provisions. The sentence was pursuant to Frazee’s guilty plea to endangering the welfare of a child. The charge was contained in a July 17, 2007 state grand jury indictment.

In pleading guilty on February 11, Frazee admitted that he engaged in an online role-playing relationship with the girl, who lived in New Hampshire, and manipulated her into posing nude for him and sending images to him via the Internet, including images depicting her engaged in simulated sex acts. The girl was between the ages of 13 and 16 at the time.

As part of the investigation, the New Jersey State Police Digital Technology Investigations Unit executed a search warrant and seized Frazee’s computer in October 2003. Investigators allegedly recovered nude images of the girl, as well as logs of numerous communications between Frazee and the girl.

Deputy Attorney General Kenneth Sharpe of the Division of Criminal Justice Computer Analysis and Technology Unit represented the Division of Criminal Justice at the sentencing.
