New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly A. Ayotte announces that the autopsy has been completed on Anthony Jarvis.

Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie Duval has preliminarily determined that the cause of Mr. Jarvis’s death was multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Jarvis sustained one gunshot wound to his right leg and two gunshot wounds to his trunk. In addition, there were multiple superficial gunshot wounds on his body.

Final autopsy results are pending waiting toxicology results, which will not be completed for an additional 4 to 6 weeks.

The New Hampshire State Police Trooper injured in this incident is Phillip Gaiser. Trooper First Class Gaiser remains in the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in stable condition.

The investigation into this matter remains ongoing.
