Governor Blunt Issues Executive Order to Assist Missouri Families with Flood Recovery Efforts

JEFFERSON CITY Gov. Matt Blunt has issued an executive order to help Missourians cleanup damage caused by recently flooding on Mississippi River. The order allows the Department of Natural Resources
(DNR) the flexibility needed to help expedite debris removal and disposal.
"Missouri families will be picking up the pieces left behind from this flooding and my executive order will help expedite this process," Gov. Blunt said. "I have directed regulating agencies to work with Missourians to make the recovery process as smooth as possible."
The governors executive order gives DNR flexibility surrounding laws and rules pertaining to waste disposal and ensures Missourians can safely and effectively eliminate debris left by the floods.
