Emporia, KS—Today the Kansas Republican Party elected the final round of at-large delegates to the Republican National Convention to be held in Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota, September 1-4, 2008.

Party Chairman Kris Kobach stated, “These Republicans represent a wide spectrum of not only the Republican Party, but the state of Kansas. I look forward to traveling to Minnesota as a delegation to nominate the next President of the United States, Senator John McCain.

“John McCain has the right kind of leadership at the right time. He has proven that he has the ability to lead the country through a time of war and protect America from further terrorist attacks. With his substantial foreign policy experience, he is well positioned to lead this country in an unstable world. He has pledged to make the tax cuts of 2002 permanent, and he understands that market-based approaches to health care are far superior to the government mandates favored by Democrats.”
