Governor Schwarzenegger Appoints Peter Twede to Glenn County Superior Court

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the appointment of Peter B. Twede to a judgeship in the Glenn County Superior Court.
Twede, 61, of Hamilton City, has served as a commissioner for the superior courts of Colusa, Glenn and Tehama counties since 1997 and the Plumas County Superior Court since 1998. He worked as a sole practitioner from 1976 to 1997. Twede earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Lincoln University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of San Francisco. He was elected in June 2008 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Angus Saint-Evens. The Governor's appointment allows Twede to immediately take his position on the bench. Twede is a Republican.
The compensation for this position is $178,789.
