Governor Riley Comments on Resignation of District Attorney David Barber

MONTGOMERY - Governor Bob Riley made the following comments on Friday about the resignation of Jefferson County District Attorney David Barber:

“I met with Mr. Barber this morning in Montgomery and he delivered to me his letter of resignation, which is effective September 1. I thanked him for his service to the people of Jefferson County and wished him well. I will be appointing a replacement by September 1.”
