MONTGOMERY – Agriculture & Industries Commissioner Ron Sparks announces that the annual Farmers Market Day will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008.  This special day will give local farmers an opportunity to display their best homegrown produce and flowers and provide tons of fun for the entire family.  All events will be at the Montgomery State Farmers Market on Federal Drive next to Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery.     

Among the many exciting events planned are a Watermelon Eatin’ Contest and a Corn Shuckin’ Contest.  Farmers Market Day will offer something exciting for everyone to enjoy so get there early to find the best selection of your favorite fruits and vegetables.
